Barry Eisler is the closest to an international man of mystery you'll get at this year's Pikes Peak Writers Conference, and luckily for all of us, he's a keynote speaker! 

Barry once worked with the CIA's Directorate of Operations. If that's not cool enough for you, he was also a technology lawyer at an international law firm, in-house counsel in a Japanese company, and a startup executive in Silicon Valley. Because all work and no play makes Barry a dull boy, he earned his black belt in Judo at the Kodokan International Judo Center. Do not sneak up behind this author at conference!

All of that said, he has also found great success as a bestselling author. His books have won awards and made it onto "Best of" lists, and they've been translated into more than twenty languages. They include his John Rain thriller series and his Treven books. He's also published several short stories/novellas, and a couple of essays.
