More Information: Whether traditionally published or indie, authors are actually in the business of licensing copyright. It is important to understand how the law views the author’s rights in their work. Attorney Robin Roberts will discuss the basics of copyright law, copyright terms, the concept of works for hire, copyright assignments and licensing, and other copyright topics important to authors.

About the Presenter:  Robin D. Roberts is an attorney licensed in Colorado and practicing in Denver as the managing partner of Roberts & Roberts Law Firm llc.  A graduate of Loyola Law School of Los Angeles, and with nearly 20 years experience,  he practices in the area of intellectual property law, general business law and civil litigation.

Join fellow writers for PPW Night on the fourth Monday of every month.

PPW Night is two full hours of discussion, laughter, and fun with other local members of Pikes Peak Writers.

The direction of the meeting is decided by the participants and can include discussions about query letters, obtaining and working with an agent, writing conferences, or other specific points of the craft.  If nothing else, we talk about books!

Meetings are scheduled to start at 6:30 and run until about 8:30.  These are drop-in meetings, so feel free to attend all or just part of them.
