Sweet Success! JL Fields

Prepared By DeAnna Knippling

JL Fields's cookbook, Vegan for Her: The Woman's Guide to Being Healthy and Fit on a Plant-Based Diet (ISBN 978-0738216713, softcover, 400 pages) will be released by Da Capo Press Lifelong Books on July 9, 2013.  The book will be available at all major online book retailers as well as in brick-and-mortar bookstores, or you can find it at veganforher.com. J.L. shares plant-based education, recipes and cooking techniques, as well as animal rights information and resources, on the popular blog JL goes Vegan and is writer and editor of the community blog Stop Chasing Skinny.

Can you meet your calcium needs if you’re only eating plant-based foods? Is a vegan pregnancy safe? What about the link between soy foods and breast cancer? How does a plant-based diet affect weight loss, aging, and fertility? In Vegan for Her, dietitian Virginia Messina tackles the issues most pertinent to women who follow or who are considering a vegan diet, and JL Fields provides health-supportive recipes and tips for taking your veganism beyond the plate. Vegan for Her is a practical and realistic guide to making sure your plant-based diet is as healthy as it can be.

JL Fields is a writer, consultant, vegan cook, lifestyle coach, and educator. A devoted culinary student, JL has studied at the Natural Gourmet Institute and completed the Intensive Study Program at The Christina Pirello School of Natural Cooking and Integrative Health Studies. In addition to personal vegan lifestyle coaching and cooking services, JL provides vegan education classes and cooking demonstration classes in Colorado Springs at Go Vegan with JL!
