Doris May Lessing, (October 22, 1919—November
17, 2013) was a British novelist, poet, playwright, librettist, biographer and
short story writer. Winner of the 2007 Nobel Prize in Literature,
Doris Lessing wrote across a range of genres and detailed the conflicts
inherent to a changing society.
